At 34 LEE ROAD Award Winning Bed & Breakfast we offer a warm welcome, high quality accommodation and delicious breakfasts. We go out of our way to make your stay as comfortable and hassle free as possible. We are ideally situated in the heart of Aldeburgh, in a quiet but central location, just a few minutes’ walk from the Bed and Breakfastto the High Street and the sea.
The High Street has an abundance of independently owned, charming shops. There are excellent restaurants and famous fish and chips. There is even a cinema which has screened films since 1924.
On the pebble beach leading to the sea there are fishing boats and huts where local fishermen sell their daily catch. There are lovely walks along the beach or on the footpath behind. Head north to Maggie Hambling’s impressive ‘Scallop’ sculpture and on to Thorpeness, with the House in the Clouds and the Meare boating lake. Head south to the Martello tower and the yacht club on the River Alde with views to Orfordness and beyond.
Our three spacious guest rooms have been thoughtfully furnished and tastefully decorated to a very high standard. Each has an ensuite bathroom or shower room, tea/coffee making facilities and a flat screen TV/DVD player which also plays audio CDs. Free WiFi connection avaliable. All the bed linen and towels are Egyptian cotton.
There is a small private breakfast room for guests.
Alternatively we have a delightful courtyard garden where guests may choose to take breakfast on sunny days.
Local maps and information leaflets are available for guests to use during their stay with us. On our bookshelves are a variety of local interest books for you to browse.
We have been assessed by Quality in Tourism as a 4 Star Bed and Breakfast, with a Silver Award for quality and a Breakfast Award.

34 Lee Road continues to provide a very good standard of accommodation and very high service levels and has comfortably retained the Four Star Rating sitting at the higher end of this grading. The Silver Accolade along with the well deserved Breakfast Award has also been retained for the coming year.
This is a well managed and presented property sitting in a residential , elevated position in Aldeburgh. The hospitable owners are on hand to ensure all their guests are well catered for with nothing being too much trouble. The property is immaculate throughout, which is a credit to the owners’ exacting standards. The owners are to be commended on their attention to detail with all areas gleaming! The award winning breakfast deserves a special mention as this adds to the guests’ experience.

34 Lee Road continues to be awarded a Four Star Bed & Breakfast rating. The overall score sits just inside the higher Five Star banding range as do a number of the key sectional areas for which the owners are commended. The Four Star level continues to be achieved with the bedrooms and bathrooms commensurate with this level and on discussion with the owners Mr & Mrs Smith at the visit they are comfortable to remain within the Four Star banding range. The Breakfast Award is retained.

34 Lee Road continues to retain the Four Star grading together with the Silver Award and Breakfast accolade.
It is without doubt the owners attention to detail and the desire to provide their guests with a most enjoyable experience whilst staying at the property. Physically, the bedrooms and bathrooms present very well whilst very warm hospitality is also experienced and high standards of housekeeping noted throughout. The breakfast offering is extremely good and fully deserved the award. It is so very pleasing to see the enjoyment that is being gained from the provision of the quality produce and especially so with home made bread. The owners are very open to further suggestions to enhance the property and guest experience. The property is set in a very peaceful residential location whilst within easy reach of the town and coast whilst very well placed as a base for visiting the many local places of interest in the area.
