Pete is very knowledgable about the area, having worked at National Trust sites and as Suffolk Coastal countryside officer. He is always happy to help

From our bed and breakfast heading North there are many lovely walks, along the beach, on the footpath behind or through the RSPB North Warren reserve towards Maggie Hambling’s impressive Scallop sculpture and on to Thorpeness with the House in the Clouds and the Meare boating lake.

The High Street, just a few minutes walk from our B&B, has an abundance of independently owned, charming shops.

There are excellent restaurants and famous fish and chips.

There is even a cinema which has screened films since 1924.

Head South from our B&B to the Martello Tower along the sea wall and across the marches with views to Orfordness and beyond.

On the pebble beach, less than 5 minutes from our bed and breakfast, leading to the sea there are fishing boats and huts where local fishermen sell their daily catch. You can take freshly smoked fish to eat on the beach for lunch.
